CONTENT AND LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Even if we know what needs to be done to promote better health, getting other people (from patients and clients to colleagues, managers and even politicians) on board with our perspective and ideas is vital, and it requires a subtle yet artful approach referred to as influencing. This webinar brings together our expertise with influencers in the world of food, health and communications to share practical advice, top tips, techniques and experiences on how to use the power of influencing to ensure the nutrition voice is heard and top of the agenda.

Becoming an influencer is not just about how many followers you have on social media, or how famous you are. Some of the best influencers in the world of food and health operate entirely offline.

Influencing skills are a core leadership skill and a major determinant of successful working relationships. No matter what your level, work environment or personality, everyone can (and should) learn to be influential. It’s about mastering some key techniques and principles, thinking about your approach and communication style and putting it all into practice for a positive impact.

This session is designed for anyone who would like to get better at influencing and persuading their key decision-makers and stakeholders, from patients and clients to colleagues, managers and even politicians.

We’ll be joined by leading experts in marketing, communications, business, and nutrition to share their top tips about how to gain credibility to be more impactful at work, navigate organisational politics and become a more effective influencer and leader.

We’ll cover:

  • How to identify sources of influence in an organisation or group
  • Key principles of persuasion and how they can be used in practice
  • Different personal and social styles and how they can be used for positive impact
  • How to champion nutrition within your role and ensure it is top of the agenda

Watch this webinar to:

Gain understanding of
  • Who you are aiming to influence and determine their level of influence
  • What is important to your audience
  • How to present your message in the most impactful manner
Be aware of
  • Personality styles and why this is important when trying to influence a situation
