CONTENT AND LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) affects millions of people in the UK – up to one in ten people with ovaries. People with PCOS often struggle with an array of hormone-related symptoms and research suggests that nutrition and lifestyle can improve symptoms and quality of life. This webinar is designed to provide an overview of the syndrome and how nutrition and lifestyle can help patients and clients living with PCOS.
Symptoms of PCOS can vary and may include cravings, fatigue, menstrual pain, anxiety, depression and even difficulties trying to conceive. Much like how the symptoms of PCOS show up differently for different people, there is no one-size fits all when it comes to dietary approaches to help PCOS.
In this webinar, Registered Dietitian, Claire Pettitt, shares how diet and lifestyle can impact PCOS management, and the different approaches clients may wish to take to best suit their individual situations.
This webinar covers:
- The basics of PCOS & its impact
- Other conditions associated with PCOS
- How diet & lifestyle can impact PCOS management
- Why a weight centric approach is not always helpful
