CONTENT AND LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Children are consuming higher than recommended amounts of free sugars, potentially harming their future health. The ‘snacking generation’ are faced with more and more eating and drinking occasions, with foods that are energy dense and nutrient poor – despite what is often said on the packaging.
Ahead of Sugar Awareness Week 2021, Action on Sugar will take you through the latest research and policy recommendations and help you with a review of what’s behind the label.
This webinar will explore three key important questions:
1. Is it ok to use health claims on young children’s food?
2. Do young children need snacks?
3. Do free sugars have a place in young children’s diets?
