Welcome to MyNutriWeb Journal Club

MyNutriWeb Journal Club supports all health and food professionals, and related tutors and students, to ensure you use the strongest available nutrition evidence to inform your practice.

The forum enables those with an interest in nutrition research to connect and debate recent journal articles: the findings, pros and cons, and scientific and clinical value. Covering a variety of topics and paper types, the sessions also include tools and techniques to help best understand and appraise the publications. These skills are critically important for all health and food professionals, whatever your sector, to help identify whether research is meeting rigorous scientific standards and is conducted with integrity.

Journal Club is facilitated by the award-winning Dr Caroline Childs, Associate Professor in Nutritional Sciences within Medicine at the University of Southampton, who truly accommodates for all levels of skill. With a different guest expert every time, the open access papers are shared in advance to read and prepare questions for discussion, where possible.

The live sessions take place every second Tuesday of the month, 8–9pm (with the exception of August and December). Within a week of viewing the full event, attendees receive a link to the recording, relevant resources, a reflective practice form and a certificate of attendance for your CPD records.
