CONTENT AND LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Most nutrition professionals are becoming increasingly aware of just how prevalent disordered eating is. No matter what your specialism, knowing how to interact with your patients and clients in a way that supports a healthy relationship with food and knowing which red flags to look out for is so important. This webinar will help you to deepen your understanding of what disordered eating is, how to reduce the risk and what to do if you suspect someone is struggling with their relationship with food.
Relationship with food lies on a spectrum, ranging from a healthy relationship with food at one end to an eating disorder at the other end.
This webinar will explore what disordered eating looks like, as well as the role nutrition professionals can play in preventing it and supporting clients struggling with a healthy relationship with food.
We’ll cover:
- The risk factors and red flags for disordered eating
- How to safely respond to disordered eating and know when to raise concerns or refer for support
- How to prevent disordered eating and encourage a healthy relationship with food
- Evidence related to weight stigma & non-diet nutrition
We’re also joined by expert chair and Registered Dietitian, Sarah Elder, to guide discussions during our live Q&A.
