CONTENT AND LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Sustainability is a multifaceted issue, in which the food production system and our diets play a crucial role. Achieving a healthy and sustainable food future is an urgent matter that depends on global collaborative efforts. All professionals across the healthcare and food systems have a critical role to play in helping to integrate sustainability into everyday practice. Ahead of International Earth Day on 20th April, this webinar will offer an update on sustainable diets from research, policy & practice.
In this webinar, Dr Angela Frankowska shares a bite-sized update on what a sustainable diet looks like. We also have the opportunity to hear from two award winning sustainability researchers, Anna-Lena Klapp and Michela Faccioli, who share an overview of their research on food based dietary guidelines, and front of pack labelling and taxation.
We’ll cover:
- What constitutes a sustainable diet
- What policy makers can do to help shifts to a more sustainable diet
- Sustainable food-based dietary guidelines
- Front-of-pack health messages vs climate scores
We’re also joined by chairs, Elphee Medici and Dr Stephanie DE Vriese, to guide discussions and facilitate the live Q&A.
